KALIBER-8: ASSET MANAGEMENT WITH WORLD-WIDE ACCESS
KALIBER-8 is a compliance and asset management system which uses calendar dates and recall intervals to draw up work schedules and send these out with email and text message reminders to all relevant persons and subcontractors. The results of the managed periodic activity are recorded including e-documents and certificates where appropriate. Worldwide access to the database is provided through a computer, laptop, web-browser, APPLE IPAD or IPHONE. Applications include inspection, calibration, maintenance, health & safety, testing and training. Each system can be tailored to individual requirements. The hosted service is available on a monthly contract basis with minimal in-house IT involvement.

KALIBER-8 is based on the well-known, easy-to-use FILEMAKER database system which can be hosted locally or, for world-wide access, remotely.
The database contains the following information:
•Asset register: detailed information including location, picture, ownership, etc.
•Contacts
•Subcontractors
•Asset groups
•Procedures including documents
•Reference standards
•Historical records including certificates and documents
An asset may be anything tangible: gauge,equipment,instrument,tool,vehicle,person,etc. System functionality includes all standard database procedures:

•Sorting Imports/Exports Inventory

•Notification by email and text message Historical result recording
A main function of the system is to recall assets for periodic action such as inspection, calibration, training, maintenance and to maintain historical records as evidence of this action. The recall  interval  is measured in days specified for each asset.
In addition to printed lists of assets due for action, facilities to generate email and text message broadcasts to targeted lists of assets are included  the email addresses and mobile telephone numbers used for these broadcasts are stored for each asset, contact and subcontractor.
Historical records detailing the results of action carried out, including links to certification documents, are added as required and cross-references to standards provide traceability. Local systems are hosted on a single computer or in-house network. Remote systems are hosted in a dedicated secure FILEMAKER hosting centre with all maintenance, support and back-up services provided plus web-browser access. Evaluation systems are available.
